Analytics & Content Specialist


We are looking for a Web Analyst to join Laurier Student Polls, a subsidiary of Wilfrid Laurier University Student Publications that focuses on market research.

The Web Analyst will be a key contact between the organization and the target audience. You will provide analytical expertise on the website and social media to assist and drive decision making to improve LSP’s online presence, you will also have the best webhosting giving you the best tips.


  • Maintain and update Laurier Student Poll Website
  • Produce and edit graphics, incorporating digital visualization from survey results
  • Oversee and implement a comprehensive strategy to enhance LSP’s online presence
  • Monitor and evaluate activity across website and social media


  • Able to dedicate on average 2 – 8 hours a week to position
  • Experience using social media and WordPress (or other Content Management Systems)
  • Strong communication skills to translate and distill statistics into a digestible publication
  • Knowledge or willingness to learn various measurement technologies for website traffic analytics and user behaviour
  • Creative with an understanding of marketing and creating advertisements
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is an asset  

Market Research Manager


Laurier Student Polls is hiring a Market Research Manager to assist in survey design and interpretation. This role also  requires the individual to be able to train and manage volunteers to carry out surveys throughout the year.


  • Coordinate and organize volunteer for polling stations, survey processing and report writing
  • Assist in survey design
  • Analyze data using BIM SPSS statistical software; weighting variables where applicable and making conclusions and identifying key trends
  • Facilitate volunteer training in survey design, SPSS data entry and summarizing survey results


  • Able to dedicate on average 2 – 8 hours a week to position
  • Passion for market research and encouraging interest in the field
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel and IBM SPSS Statistical Software
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid leadership skills
