- Must submit an Op Ed every other week to the Opinion Editor by a set deadline
- While opinions are encouraged to reflect the views of the columnist, they must be supported by fact and avoid any defamatory or hateful comments
- Columnists are encouraged, although not expected, to contribute blogs
- When using social media in regards to The Cord or WLUSP, the columnist is expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and professional manner
Applicants for this position are expected to submit two (2) sample pieces of writing, of which one (1) should be a potential column.
