SUPERVISES: RL Music Department
TERM OF OFFICE: Date of Hiring to April 30, 2014
HOURS: 10-15 hours/week
GENERAL FUNCTION: Hired by the RL Station Manage, the RL Music Director is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of Radio Laurier’s music department and music library.
SPECIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Attend all management meetings
o Participate in RL fundraising events
o Sit on programming committee
o Liaise with the RL Station Manager and Programming Chair about Music related business.
o Represent Radio Laurier at all meetings and conferences as required by the Station Manager
o Screen and catalogue all music received by Radio Laurier
o Contact labels, bands and PR firms to increase RL’s servicing
o Maintain several cur rated playlists
o Tracking radio play of all recent submissions
o Assembling and mailing out weekly charts
o Prepare a year-end transition report for the incoming Radio Laurier Station Manager
o Any other reasonable duties as required by the President, Brantford Manager or RL Station Manager
